- 2. claude mcp list
Expected output
- filesystem shows as connected; tools include read_text_file, write_file, edit_file, list_directory, search_files and list_allowed_directories.
Common failures and fixes
- Usage → mcp-server-filesystem [allowed-directory] ...: you passed no directory; add at least one path.
- Access denied outside allowed directories → by design; add the directory as another argument.
